Let's begin by focusing on the central figure of both the shop and the show: Dave Kindig. Dave Kindig stands as the shining star of "Bitchin' Rides," having earned multiple awards for his exceptional designs. When asked about his favorite job, he consistently replies that it's the next one, reflecting his artist's mindset. But how did his journey commence?

Dave Kindig's fascination with automobiles ignited at the tender age of five. Initially interested in insects, he eventually transitioned to customizing a different kind of "beetle." His experience, aside from one class, is entirely hands-on; he learned through practical work. A turning point arrived when a drawing of a '69 Camaro he created found its way into a magazine. This recognition caught the eye of executives at Velocity, and Dave Kindig naturally fit the mold for reality TV.

At Dave Kindig's side is his wife, Charity Kindig, who serves as the vice president of their company. Contrary to misconceptions, Charity's passion for cars predates her involvement with Dave. They initially crossed paths at a dance, but Charity had harbored a lifelong fascination with cars. In fact, Dave's decision to start his own business was contingent upon Charity's approval, a condition she imposed until they welcomed their first child, Drew.

Today, the Kindig family, including Bailey and Drew, collaborates within the shop. Bailey and Charity alternate between various roles, including managing social media for the shop. Bailey even authored the comprehensive website bio. Additionally, Bailey shares her father's affinity for beetles and other Volkswagen models. On the other hand, Drew specializes in metal fabrication and is known as the "door handle Ninja" at Kindig It Design. This familial bond ensures the continuity and success of Kindig It Design, with no plans of departure.
