Sofia Vergara Introduces a Game-Changing Twist on America's Got Talent with the Live Golden Buzzer

In a thrilling new development on America's Got Talent, Sofia Vergara has shaken up the competition by introducing the show’s first-ever Live Golden Buzzer. What Is the Live Golden Buzzer?

Traditionally, the Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent is a coveted accolade that a judge can use to advance an act directly to the live shows. Each judge has one Golden Buzzer to use during the audition phase, allowing them to send a particularly outstanding act straight to the next stage. However, the new Live Golden Buzzer takes this concept a step further.

The Live Golden Buzzer is a unique addition that each judge can use during the live quarterfinals. Unlike the standard Golden Buzzer, which can only be used once during auditions, the Live Golden Buzzer guarantees the recipient a spot in the finals, irrespective of the audience's votes. This twist is designed to ensure that standout performances are given a clear path to the finale, providing them with a secure chance to compete for the $1 million grand prize.

Sofia Vergara's Historic Decision

Vergara's decision to use the Live Golden Buzzer for the Hakuna Matata Acrobats was a clear statement of her confidence in their performance. Describing their act as “one of the most ambitious” she has seen on the show, Vergara praised their skills and dedication. "I mean, I can see the difference from the audition. You guys deserve to be here," she said. This move not only secured the acrobats a spot in the finals but also highlighted their exceptional talent and potential.

How the Finals Work

With the introduction of the Live Golden Buzzer, the finals of America's Got Talent will see four acts, each having received a Live Golden Buzzer, competing alongside six other acts chosen by viewer votes. This brings a total of ten acts to the final stage, where they will perform for their last chance to claim the top prize.

The inclusion of the Live Golden Buzzer adds an exciting new dynamic to the show, ensuring that viewers will see some of the most memorable performances of the season in the final showdown.

Catch America's Got Talent on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on NBC to see how this season unfolds and to witness more incredible acts vying for the ultimate prize.
